Tommy and Tyson Fury enlist Shaquille O’Neal to help with Jake Paul’s appeal
Tommy Fury enlisted his brother Tyson and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal for a Jake Paul legend.
The 3-0 YouTuber and 5-0 Love Island star Tommy have been going back and forth in recent months – and their teams have reportedly been talking about a big fight between the two.
They are both undefeated as professionals having had relatively weak amateur experience, although Fury would be a big favorite given his fighting background.
His brother Tyson is the heavyweight champion of the world – and looks set to fight Deontay Wilder in a WBC title trilogy this summer.
But Tommy, who drew millions of followers as a contestant in the 2019 Love Island season where he met his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, is still just a rookie boxer and looks to be a great match. for the inexperienced Paul.
And while he was in Miami training with his brother for his next title defense, Fury tried to win his own fight – now seen with basketball hero “ Shaq ” and his family in the purpose to get Paul to face him.
The YouTube star just signed a multi-fight deal to have his fights in the United States aired on Showtime Boxing, which could be a problem as Fury is signed with Queensberry Promotions, whose fight nights tend to land on ESPN.
And Paul’s longtime rival Dillon Danis seems a more likely option, with Danis having signed with Bellator MMA who already has a broadcast deal with Showtime.
The YouTube star is 3-0 as a professional, and will return to the ring on the same network as Floyd Mayweather and the Charlo Brothers later this year.
His last fight was during the new promotion of Triller Fight Club, and it emerged after selling 1.5 million pay-per-views that Paul would stay with the young company.
However, ESPN has confirmed that it has signed a multiple fight deal with the massive TV network – which hosted Floyd Mayweather’s massive PPV fights with Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao and will also air the legend of the boxing with Logan Paul next month.
Paul confirmed the news on his Twitter page, saying ‘it’s show time’ in response to the announcement, and Triller chairman Ryan Kavanaugh has confirmed the company has split from Jake.
Coach BJ Flores will return to work with Paul in Puerto Rico later this month when he flies off to join his fighter, who is currently helping his brother Logan prepare for his fight with Floyd Mayweather on June 6.
