Texas woman shot dead by ex-husband hours before child custody hearing, MPs say – WSOC TV
TOMBALL, Texas – A Texas woman was injured Monday morning after being shot four times by her ex-husband hours before her child custody hearing, investigators said.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the woman’s ex-husband Aaron Wright cut off power to the house at around 3:14 a.m. before breaking into the house through a back window and walking into the house. open fire on her ex-spouse. KPRC reported.
“I understand that he threatened (his ex-wife’s) new boyfriend on several occasions,” investigators said. “I’m sure it was also a contentious divorce, but we’re still looking at it all.”
Investigators said there were also lingering issues between the woman, Wright and his new girlfriend. Officials said the girlfriend was with Wright at the time of the shooting.
The couple had a hearing scheduled for later Monday over the custody of their four children, aged 5 to 12.
Wright’s ex-wife should survive. The children were not injured.
Wright was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
