A new mobile app was launched Thursday by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation to help people pay property taxes online amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, officials said.
The new app was designed for the city’s three businesses, the SDMC said in a statement.
“In order to facilitate land taxpayers, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation today launched a new mobile application. This application has been launched for the land taxpayers of the three municipal corporations,” he said.
The motive for launching the app is to provide a simple, hassle-free platform for property tax payers during the pandemic, the civic body said.
“Now citizens can make payments while staying at home. SDMC, the hub of the three companies (South, North and East) for this work, developed the app with help from the National Informatics Center ( NIC), ”he added.
