Heavyweights galore on the Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder map
Heavyweights will be everywhere in the upcoming Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder fight map, as three more have been added to the main map.
Fury and Wilder face off for the third time on Saturday, July 24 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card will be streamed live on pay-per-view.
In the 10-round main co-event, Nigerian Olympian “The One and Only” Efe Ajagba will face undefeated compatriot Frank “The Cuban Flash” Sánchez.
The PPV telecast also includes the 12-round rematch between Finland’s Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius and Polish star Adam “Babyface” Kownacki, who was stopped by Helenius in the fourth round of their first fight in March 2020.
The eight-round PPV opener will see Toledo-born Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson take the class against undefeated Russian contender Vladimir Tereshkin.
Ajagba (15-0, 12 KOs) turned pro in July 2017 and quickly established himself as one of the fiercest knockout artists in the division. He showed his courage when he came off the bridge to take out Iago Kiladze in December 2019, and three months later broke down and stopped former world title challenger Razvan Cojanu in the ninth round.
A great fan of his native Cuba, Sánchez (18-0, 13 KOs) now trains in San Diego with coach Eddy Reynoso. The 28-year-old remained busy in his rise in the heavyweight rankings, scoring three wins in 2020 as he took a unanimous decision over Joey Dawejko and stopped Brian Howard and Julian Fernandez.
