First Hawaiian Bank Launches New Mobile App With Tools For Budgeting Money
HONOLULU (KHON2) – First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) announced it launched a new mobile banking app on Wednesday, April 28, designed with account tools to help users track spending, set monthly budgets, and more.
The new app also offers customizable financial overviews that can help clients set and pursue their financial goals, according to FHB.

“We have extended the functionality of the First Hawaiian mobile app, to go beyond other core banking apps, so our customers have easy access to tools to help them better understand and manage their finances. The mobile app is intuitive and customizable to create a more personalized experience, empowering our clients to take control of their financial lives with convenient, day-to-day money management resources as well as the ability to view complete all of their financial accounts in one place, whether they are at First Hawaiian or other financial institutions. “

The main features of the new FHB application include:
- Account aggregation: All financial accounts can be integrated in one place, even those held at other financial institutions, including 401K investment accounts, investment accounts, credit cards, mortgage and savings accounts, providing users an individualized overview of their financial assets.
- Money card: The app automatically categorizes all transactions and allows customers to seamlessly manage budget categories to customize the app based on their financial goals. Customers can set a monthly budget and track how much they want to spend on groceries or entertainment. The app will notify them if they are on track with those goals.
- Knowledge: An automated notification system provides financial information and advice based on artificial intelligence (AI). It generates an intuitive flow of notifications to aggregated accounts on the app and continuously improves through self-learning analytics. Insights will provide support for subscription management, category expense notifications, debt payment reminders, duplicate payment notifications, monthly expense comparisons and more.
